Saturday, November 22, 2003- Kapi'olani Community College - 'Ohi'a Bldg. 6:00 am - Memorial Tribute Honoring our loved ones, Duke's statue, Waikiki Beach 6:15 am - Paddle out outrigger/surfboards, Lei and Name Call Memorial w/Blessing 6:45 am - Memorial Tribute Pau 7:30 am - Registration 8:45 am - Conference Starts with Hawaiian Traditional Blessing *Conference Application/Fee to be posted *Program Agenda to be posted with timeframe. 5th Annual National Conference held the first time in Hawai'i. We are calling all survivors of suicide day and individuals interested in suicide prevention. It will be a time of sharing, healing, learning and empowering ourselves. We will hear from those who have gone through the experience, as well as the professionals who work within this community in support of recovery. Is it ever bearable? Will the pain ever go away? Why wasn't I prepared? What are the warning signs and then what do you do? Come and join us in a day meant for healing.
Bring your pictures and special things to share. We will have one breakout session dedicated for this.
